So I will soon be coming home for good! after long (hmm or short) 6 years abroad, I will be coming home for good!!!! 6ab3an this is scraing the hell out of me!!! Back to where how good you look matters more.. how much money you have matters more.. how shiny your shoes -or car- matters more!! Back to the society where everyone is in everyone else's bussiness!!!! Back to where people talk about you whether you do good or bad o mata3jeb a7ad lo tge6 nafsek min el sema!
On the other hand, I'm a bit excited to go back! I had enough of being a student and now it's time to go back... to start another journey! and by journey I mean a mission to improve people's oral hygiene, so lets just call it work!
Hmmm.. I don't know.. mixed emotions! I miss home, but I'm scared! Every time I try thinking about what's good waiting for me there or why leaving here can be a good thing.. I can't think about anything except I won't have to pay electricity bills anymore to el 7arameyah ele hny!!!!!
So tell me about your first day at work?? were you nervous? everything went ok? or did something stupid happen and you spent days and years after that trying to make it up?

Welcome home
The good thing that you know how it is back here. Back hen we expected more and we were shocked. So it is good to lower your expectations.
I took a newspaper with me to my first day of work. I thought I will be bored. My supervisor took it and through it in the trash bin. And I was bored all day. I thought of everything at work, family, car, friends, football.
So my advice, buy a small notebook, try to write your immediate thoughts and discuss them here.
Maybe it will be fun and it will help you to go through these early days

Congrats doc :D and welcome back to our consumerist materialistic society of love! It'll be fine, you'll get used to it within the first year and you'll reminisce about the good times, the privacy and independence, and most importantly the nonchalant attitude of most people towards whatever you do.
First day at work was boring, new faces, new names that I didn't remember for more than 5 minutes, and a mixture of human feelings.
bas still (despite all of the above negativity lol) there are loads of like-minded nice decent intelligent people. You'll be fine :D

i think this thing had the greatest/worst imapct in my career ;))
am glad that a new creative brain is adding to our community ..
u maybe one ..but our future is needing everyone !
